Get Connected

How Can I Get Connected?

There are 4 main ways to get connected to Cru: (1) Our small groups which we call Gospel Communities (8PM on every Tuesday except for once a month). (2) “CRUsday” (our monthly large group meeting) which is at 8PM on one Tuesday of the month (follow us on Instagram to learn specific dates). (3) Our fun social events. (4) Our social media feeds are always helpful to follow to stay up to date on what we are doing in Cru.

Large Group

  • Our large group meeting happens once a month instead of our normal Tuesday night Gospel Communities. CRUsday is at 8:00 PM in the Barfield Drawing Room (SUB). Follow us on Instagram to learn exact dates!
  • CRUsday is the easiest way to check out what Cru is about and meet the people that make up Cru. We gather for an hour and a half to hear biblical teaching, spend time in worship, and get updated on Cru’s upcoming events.

Social Media

Follow us for all our upcoming activities and events:

Mission Trip Opportunities

In addition to being an awesome campus ministry, Cru is the largest mission organization on the planet next to the Catholic church. We do missions really well. Our trips are focused on helping you be on mission and pouring into you as a college student. Check out the opportunities below.

Dates: May 25, 2022 – Jul 3, 2022
Cost: $5,500
Length: 6 weeks

Imagine walking along a scenic street, and hearing the call to prayer. You see people around you begin to repeat prayers that they say 3-5 times a day.

Imagine walking onto a college campus and seeing a middle-eastern traditionally dressed girl with her friend making plans together for the upcoming weekend.

Imagine becoming friends with those girls and sharing the gospel with them. They are very open to talking with you and other teammates about spiritual things and they tell you it is their first time to hear the message. It is also their first time to see a Bible up close.

Imagine becoming close to your team as you live in community in a foreign country and grow to love the people.

Imagine God changing your life and breaking your heart for the lost in ways you never thought possible.

These are some of the things you may experience and more, for God’s glory and renown, if you join us this summer.

Dates, details and cost are tentative and subject to change.
Please reach out to us for more info!

Ozark Lakes (Branson, MO)

Dates: Jun 6, 2022 – Aug 5, 2022
Cost: $3,800
Length: 9 weeks

The Ozark Lakes Summer Mission is designed for college students desiring to enhance their leadership skills (personal, spiritual and ministry), walk with God, and impact others for Christ. You will have a job on this mission where you will experience intentional relationships with co-workers (& since the support you raise for the summer covers the majority of your meals each week…you get to bring all of your money from your job home with you!). You will be equipped for a lifetime of personal ministry regardless of what vocation God calls you to after graduation. (We sometimes have options for internships depending on your field of study. Also, if you need to take an asynchronous class, please contact us about options). Set in the beautiful Ozark Mountains, you will have opportunities to explore and rest in God’s creation, all while being discipled by a Cru staff member, and experiencing fun and fellowship in rich community with like-minded students. Join us for a great adventure in your journey with Christ!

This Spring Break, we will not be going on a missions trip. In the past, Baylor Cru has partnered with Filter of Hope to send students to Haiti. Filter of Hope is an organization that desires to provide the two most important needs of poor people in the Caribbean. Water and the gospel. Filter of Hope is present in 9 Central American countries where the most of the poor have no access to clean drinking water. We will spend four days visiting remote parts of the country and using filters as a way to share the gospel with local families while meeting there need for clean drinking water. After those four busy days, We will have a day of rest and fun spending time on the beach before heading home to jump back into school. The cost of the will cover the cost of travel, food, housing, and the filters that we will be giving out.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. - Hebrews 10:24-25
