Get Connected

How Can I Get Connected?

There are 4 main ways to get connected to Cru: (1) Our small groups which we call Gospel Communities (8PM on every Tuesday except for the first week of the month). (2) “CRUsday” (our monthly large group meeting) which is at 8PM on the first Tuesday of the month. (3) Our fun social events. (4) Our social media feeds are always helpful to follow to stay up to date on what we are doing in Cru.

Large Group

  • Our large group meeting is on the first Tuesday of every month at 8:00 PM in the Cashion Lobby.
  • CRUsday is the easiest way to check out what Cru is about and meet the people that make up Cru. We gather for an hour and a half to hear biblical teaching, spend time in worship, and get updated on Cru’s upcoming events.

Social Media

Mission Trip Opportunities

In addition to being an awesome campus ministry, Cru is the largest mission organization on the planet next to the Catholic church. We do missions really well. Our trips are focused on helping you be on mission and pouring into you as a college student. Check out the opportunities below.

N.A.M.E.

Dates: May 25, 2021 – Jul 3, 2021
Cost: $5,200
Length: 5 weeks

Imagine walking along a scenic street, and hearing the call to prayer. You see people around you begin to repeat prayers that they say 3-5 times a day.

Imagine walking onto a college campus and seeing a middle-eastern traditionally dressed girl with her friend making plans together for the upcoming weekend.

Imagine becoming friends with those girls and sharing the gospel with them. They are very open to talking with you and other teammates about spiritual things and they tell you it is their first time to hear the message. It is also their first time to see a Bible up close.

Imagine becoming close to your team as you live in community in a foreign country and grow to love the people.

Imagine God changing your life and breaking your heart for the lost in ways you never thought possible.

These are some of the things you may experience and more, for God’s glory and renown, if you join us this summer.

Dates, details and cost are tentative and subject to change.
Please reach out to us for more info!

Miami

Dates: May 28, 2021 – Jun 19, 2021
Cost: $2700
Length: 3 weeks

Come grow your faith, grow your friendships, and grow your impact on Miami Summer Mission. You will live in the city with 60 of your closest friends exploring cultures and discovering how God can be present in your life in condos, on campuses, and in city parks. In Miami you’ll be able to work (tuition isn’t free), but also develop a heart and skills to share Jesus with your co-workers. You will join a campus team one day a week to help build up Cru movements and connect with students on campuses with little or no Christian presence. Get deep with your small group. Worship the God you’re discovering each day with us and with diverse church communities. Adventure with us on the beaches, islands, and rivers of South Florida. Learn to love your roommates (other Cru students from all over the country). Learn to love people from many different cultures and backgrounds. Chances are you’ll live in a city after you graduate. Why not discover how to be part of what God is doing in a city now?

Haiti

Dates:
Cost:
Length:

This Spring Break, we will not be going on a missions trip. In the past, Baylor Cru has partnered with Filter of Hope to send students to Haiti. Filter of Hope is an organization that desires to provide the two most important needs of poor people in the Caribbean. Water and the gospel. Filter of Hope is present in 9 Central American countries where the most of the poor have no access to clean drinking water. We will spend four days visiting remote parts of the country and using filters as a way to share the gospel with local families while meeting there need for clean drinking water. After those four busy days, We will have a day of rest and fun spending time on the beach before heading home to jump back into school. The cost of the will cover the cost of travel, food, housing, and the filters that we will be giving out.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. - Hebrews 10:24-25
